The Administrative Office Professional program at Great Lakes' School of Business is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to prepare for a successful career as an administrative assistant, providing clerical support within a variety of businesses and industries. The program is designed for the student with no previous business experience.
The Administrative Office Professional program is a sequence of courses that prepares the student for entry level employment in a variety of careers relating to administrative assistant or receptionist in today's technology-driven workplace. Students learn basic office procedures, document processing, and are introduced to payroll accounting. The course includes an introduction to the medical office as well. Job titles include Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, Receptionist, Executive Assistant, Clerical Assistant or Customer Service.
