Each graduation, an Outstanding Student receives an award for exemplary performance during their education. This week Courtney Harden of the Medical Assistant program received the award for Great Lakes at our Summer 2017 graduation ceremony. Here is what Vickie Clements, Director of Education, said about her at the event.

The first award presented to Great Lakes' graduates is the OUTSTANDING STUDENT. Tonight, the award goes to Medical Assistant graduate, Courtney Harden

Courtney is a single mother of 3, who strived throughout her program to achieve the highest standards possible. She had perfect attendance in all of her courses and is graduating with a 97.8% grade average. She also received one of the highest recordable scores on the Certified Medical Assistant Exam that the school has ever seen, all while raising a family and holding a 3rd shift job. She's been a fighter throughout her life, and has overcome so many obstacles to achieve what she has so far. This young lady is truly a special person and a true achiever!

Congratulations Courtney! We wish you luck and success in your new career!
