In this Alumni Spotlight we catch up with Levi Giancotti, Massage Therapist graduate and current employee of River of Life Chiropractic.
I have been in my current position at River of Life Chiropractic as a Massage Therapist and Chiropractic Assistant for almost 3 years. It is very rewarding to see our patients and clients take their health to the next level. Knowing that health is an inside job, I get to use my skills as a Massage Therapist to provide a different approach that will increase positive function of their nervous system. When a person is functioning at their best they are feeling their best. I love what I do, it’s a blessing.
My future career goals are to continue to make an impact in the community I serve. I would like to become NCBMTB certified to become a continuing education educator with courses that deal with the nervous system.
For current students I would suggest that you aim to specialize in a specific modality. There are many massage therapists in the area and developing your own identity is key to how well you will succeed. Do not be afraid to reach out to other therapists for learning purposes. Networking is important.
In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and two daughters. I also am involved in my church and I am always looking for new things to learn about, whether it be job related or something else.
