Surgical Technologist Graduate Lands a Great Career

Ken Bearce graduated from the Surgical Technologist program in June 2008 and after completing his externship, quickly found employment n Buffalo, NY.

Ken is currently working at Buffalo General Medical Center and Gates Vascular Institute in Buffalo, New York, and has been employed there for over 4 years. He specializes in assisting in neurologic and vascular surgeries.

On the job, Ken is responsible for setting up the operating room, ensuring all equipment is operating, assisting the surgeon, and tearing down after surgery, and prepping the operating room for the next case.

Ken is married with 4 children and enjoys snowmobiling with the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club, as well as clay pigeon shooting and cycling.

One thing you may not know about Ken is that he rides bike for charity. He's rode in the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure, the Ride for Roswell Park for cancer, the American Red Cross, Erie United Methodist Alliance for the homeless and Environment Erie's Save the Environment rides.
