Outstanding Student Award - Kevin Lytle

Posted On 1/21/2016

Each graduation, an Outstanding Student receives an award for exemplary performance during their education. Last week Kevin Lytle of the Veterinary Assistant program received the award for Great Lakes at our Winter 2016 graduation ceremony. Here is what Vickie Clements, Director of Education, said about him at the event.

Kevin served for 8 years as a Military Police Officer and Working Dog Handler in the United States Army before attending Great Lakes. While in school, Kevin volunteered in the Student Services Committee and was one of the most respectful students we’ve ever had the privilege of serving. His program director says, "Kevin is a born leader and leads by example, not by command." He is kind to humans and animals alike.

This diploma was only a step in Kevin's ultimate career goal. He’s currently enrolled at Edinboro University in environmental science, with the ultimate goal of becoming a wildlife biologist.

Congratulations Kevin! We wish you luck and success in your new career!
