Highlighting 4 Exceptional Medical Assistant Students

Posted On 12/3/2012

The following Medical Assistant students were hired in new jobs as a result of their exemplary performance on their externships. These students were part of the 02/20/12 start.

Cyndra Wolf: Cyndra was offered full time employment with Children's Community Pediatrics halfway through her externship. She was sent for training at their corporate offices in Pittsburgh and was able to complete the final portion of her externship as a paid employee.

Cheryl Blum: Cheryl was very proactive during her externship and started applying for positions early. Less than halfway through her externship, she had two job offers! She chose to accept an offer for a full time position at her site, Lakeview Urology (UPMC).

Emily Hess: While on externship at Vineyard Family Practice (UPMC) in North East, Emily shined. She was there every day, on time, with a smile on her face and ready to learn. The practice manager was so impressed with Emily that she reached out to other practices in the UPMC network. After interviewing, Emily was offered a position with Grandview Family Practice (UPMC).

Mya Williamson: Mya did such a great job at her site, the Neuro Surgery center at UPMC Hamot, that she was offered a full time Medical Assistant position.
