I decided to attend the Pharmacy Technician program at Great Lakes because it was a school that didn't take four years to complete, which would allow me get into my field of work a lot faster. I liked that it was very small classes which made it a lot better if you had questions for the teachers.
When someone asks me if I like my job, I tell them that I don't "like", I "LOVE" everything about my job! Mill Run Community Pharmacy is a great place to work. Everyone I work with helps each other. I am still learning about medicine, insurances, and the pharmacy every day. It is definitely a great experience and one I will never forget. I can honestly say for the first time I love going to work every day.
My experience at Great Lakes Institute of Technology was pretty great. I learned so much and really loved my teacher, Denise Tousey. She made learning fun. I enjoyed learning from her and hearing her experiences in the pharmacy world. It is actually really hard to describe my experience at GLIT in a few words, because it was the best experience I have had involving my future. I have actually been looking into becoming a pharmacist. I know if Great Lakes had a pharmacist program I would definitely go back.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking pictures of nature and other things, hanging out with my boyfriend, and going to do things outside.
Congrats to Leesa on her new Pharmacy Technician career!
