Faculty Spotlight - Hope Hinson, Medical Program Director

Posted On 2/1/2012

When Hope decided to attend college many years ago as an Education major, she never dreamed that eventually she would combine a lifetime of experience in the medical field with a teaching degree to help guide students on their career path of being employed in the medical field.

It was by chance that Hope went to work at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, which led to many opportunities at medical facilities. According to Hope, one of the most rewarding jobs was at Children’s Hospital, where she was able to observe first hand what often amounted to miracles for the children.

Hope says, "At Great Lakes, I get the pleasure of seeing students learn and grow into their careers. It is rewarding to watch people's lives change. One of the best things about this job is attending graduation and watching students walk across the stage to celebrate all of their hard work and dedication." Hope says she is proud to be a part of the education of the students who attend Great Lakes, and she feels like her own career has come full circle by being a part of their success.
