Alumni Update - Lindsay Weidler

Posted On 6/9/2014

We recently caught up with 2012 graduate Lindsay Weidler. Read below to see what she has been up to!

I have wanted to be in the field of medicine for as long as I can remember. When I called Great Lakes, the representative who helped me was a kind and helpful man, whose only interest was to help me succeed. I enrolled without hesitation and started as quickly as I could.

I am currently working as an Office Assistant at MedExpress Urgent Care, and I have been there since I moved back to Pennsylvania in February. This is my third job since graduating in February 2012.

What I liked about Great Lakes was that everyone around me pursued my successes with me. I felt important to them - my questions, concerns, studies, and even personal struggles. The instructors and office staff were there to help me succeed.

If I were to give advice to students, it would be to never give up. I was a single mother. Between raising a child, working, and school, I was often left feeling worn thin. Great Lakes will provide you the tools you need to grow, to learn. The instructors and staff are always willing to help, all you need to do is ask.

I do not regret the struggles I had while attending Great Lakes, because it was life changing. I am most fortunate to have attended, also to have made it to where I am today!
