- Surgical Technologist Operating Room
The Operating Room clinic at Great Lakes provides a realistic setting for Surgical Technologist students to learn and practice vital skills. Here they can learn the essentials of instrumentation, patient positioning, maintaining sterile conditions, in addition to hands-on practice of simulated surgical procedures. The combined classroom and operating room provide space for configuration of various surgical scenarios to prepare students to handle and care for the thousands of dollars worth of surgical equipment they will encounter in healthcare facilities, including abdominal, endoscopic, vaginal and rectal, neurosurgery, cariovascular, thoracic, eye, ear, nose, throat, orthopedic, genitourinary and general surgical instruments.
When you're inside an virtual image, your cursor becomes a 4-way arrow icon. To move inside the image, HOLD DOWN your left mouse button and point the arrow icon in the direction you wish to move. To zoom in or out, move your mouse near the center of the image until the magnifying glass appears. Hold down your left mouse button to zoom in or out.
Hint: The arrow icon drives the iPIX image slowly if held near the center of the image. The closer the hand gets to the edge of the image, the faster the iPIX image moves.
