The Medical Clinic Lab at Great Lakes provides a realistic setting for Medical Assistant students to learn and practice vital skills. This spacious facility simulates everything from front desk/nurse's station, clinical laboratory, blood donation/phlebotomy, and health care exam rooms. Students perfect their laboratory skills in lab safety, quality control, OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, sterilzation, and proper handwashing. Utilizing microscopes and other laboratory equipment, students obtain, test and analyze specimens. Proper patient procedures are emphasized with regard to taking patient histories, vital signs, assessments, positioning, and draping for medical exams.
When you're inside an virtual image, your cursor becomes a 4-way arrow icon. To move inside the image, HOLD DOWN your left mouse button and point the arrow icon in the direction you wish to move. To zoom in or out, move your mouse near the center of the image until the magnifying glass appears. Hold down your left mouse button to zoom in or out.
Hint: The arrow icon drives the iPIX image slowly if held near the center of the image. The closer the hand gets to the edge of the image, the faster the iPIX image moves.
