Q: How do I set up a customized training plan for my employees?
A: Call the Training Office. We will work with you to assess your needs and set up a plan that will meet your needs and fit your budget.
Q: Do I get college credits for these classes?
A: No. These classes are intended for those who want to update or advance their skills. Depending on the scope of the class, you will receive either a certification or certificate of completion.
Q: What do I do if I want to train for a new career?
A: This depends upon the career you want to attain. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, only about 20% of todays jobs actually require a college degree. Specialized career training accounts for the vast majority of the remaining jobs. Contact the Training Office so we can discuss your personal career goals.
Q: Whatever happened to CAMtech for advanced manufacturing training ?
A: Erie Institute of Technology,
Erie, PA, is the successor to the former CAMtech. EIT will continue to offer many of the same opportunities in corporate and industry-specific training throughout the NW Pennsylvania region and other areas. Contact the Training Office for more information.
Q: Where are your facilities ?
A: The main Training Office is located at the Main Campus of
EIT in the Millcreek Mall in Erie. We also offer classes to the public through the Corry, PA Hi-Ed Center, and other venues as
needed. Specialized training classrooms, labs, and clinics are located at each of our career training schools in Erie. On-site training is as close as your facility.
Q: What if I want a continuing education class that isn't listed ?
A: We're always glad to hear what interests you. Contact our training office to suggest new classes. Chances are you might not be the only one, and we can get a class started. Or we can provide training for a specific company or group.
