Learn the fundamentals of reading and interpreting information on industrial blueprints with emphasis on manufacturing applications. Intro to Shop Mathematics

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

MACHINING CLASSES
G Code Programming
Wednesday – February 8 – April 11, 2012 - 6:00-9:00 p.m.
This class will include hands on experience with G & M programming on simulators. Be able to write a program from scratch with the following understandings. Knowledge of rapid traverse, linear interpolation, and circular arcs using a drawing will be taught. Learn about work offsets, different coordinate systems, tool definition to include proper tooling, tool length, tool diameter control, along with cutter compensations. Essentials of Electricity

Learn basic electricity through theory and hands on application labs with group projects. Electric Motor Control and Logic

Design and development of relay logic systems necessary for installing, operating and maintaining industrial relay motor control systems. Emphasis is on electrical and electronic techniques of signal acquisition and control. Topics may include: single phase control, three phase control, overload prevention devices, starters, and speed controls.

Welding
Welding for Production and Maintenance Personnel
Wednesday – January 18 – March 21, 2012 - 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Prerequisite: Prior Welding experience in SMAW and GMAW/FCAW, Oxy Fuel (Torches)
Student should have welding hood, chipping hammer, wire brush, welding jacket/leathers, tape,
soapstone, safety glasses, gloves and appropriate clothing for welding.
This course is designed to help people in the production and maintenance field with prior welding
experience. The course is primarily hands on training for the student in the following processes:
Oxy/Fuel – Torch and Track Cutting, Brazing, SMAW (Stick Welding), GMAW or FCAW (MIG
Welding) flat and vertical positions. GTAW (TIG) is also available.
Note: Pipe welding material would be extra.
