Computers & Business

These are examples of training that can be customized to meet your training needs.  We will meet with you to discuss your specific needs and develop the training to meet these needs.  The course length will depend on your particular needs.  We can also combine parts of course descriptions to build a new course for you.

Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word is used for word processing.  We can instruct students on the basic skills of creating documents, formatting, editing, and copying to creating tables, mail merges, desktop publishing, and working with templates.

Microsoft Excel
Excel is a spreadsheet program designed to organize data, do calculations, and make professional looking reports.  We can instruct students on the basics of doing simple spreadsheets to using embedded charts, data lists, exporting and importing data, and using templates.

Microsoft PowerPoint
Power Point is used for presentations.  Students will learn how to use wizards and templates in Power Point.  They will learn how to change slide colors and designs, insert bullets, symbols, pictures, shapes, and word art. 

Microsoft Access
Access is used for creating databases.  Students will learn how to create simple databases, design a table and modify it.  They will learn how to enter records, edit, and delete.  Students will also learn to create reports with the wizard.  Advanced classes in Access will include modifying reports, defining relationships between tables and queries, building queries including filters.  Students will learn how to create macros and switchboards.
