Jim Salter

Jim's instructor had this to say:  “As an A student, Jim Salter always jumps in to assist his fellow classmates when they are having difficulty with pharmacy calculations.  Math skills are highly recommended when applying for a job in the field; his knowledge of numbers will allow him to excel as a Pharmacy Technician.”

His classmates remarked, “I greatly respect Mr. Salter for being a man who has already earned degrees from college and decides to return to school again to study something he would like to understand as much as possible."

"  Jim has never missed a day of school and even comes in on Fridays to do school work."

"Always organized, Jim would gladly help you out if you want to go over a worksheet you yourself lost.  He is full of great stories, friendly greetings and makes for a great study buddy.  (He always goes the extra mile in finding information about a topic we’re studying).

Mr. Salter is 61 years old, single, and has 2 married daughters and four grand children.  He worked as a teacher and Engineer for several years before coming to his Great Lakes Institute of Technology adventure. He also served as an intelligence officer and pilot for the United States Air Force and he is a Vietnam Veteran.
