The need across our country is for training programs providing a marketable skill. We offer such programs. Programs that train. Programs that enhance.
We at the institute have dedicated our professional lives to helping students achieve their goals. We offer career training by recognized professionals, financial assistance, housing assistance, job placement assistance for post graduation careers, and an intense interest in helping them to succeed.
Great Lakes Institute of Technology was initially established in 1965 as J. H. Thompson Academies and was the first "Private Academy for Career Training" in Erie. On April 1, 1996, 21st Century Career Developing Academies, Inc., became the controlling owner. In September 1998, in recognition of the service area of the institution, it became Great Lakes Institute of Technology.
